Considered the largest horticultural event in Latin America, Hortitec attracts a diverse visitor audience, consisting of producers dedicated to the cultivation of flowers, fruits, vegetables, forestry, and other intensive crops, as well as business professionals. This event stands out for creating a virtuous cycle of information exchange, new client prospects, and successful business deals.
In this 29th edition, Hortitec features 500 exhibitors, both national and international, and expects to receive over 32,000 visitors, generating around R$ 450 million in business.
OpenScience visited Hortitec on its opening day, June 19, 2024, as guests of a prominent company in the technology sector. Represented by the founder Guilherme Sabin, along with João Senírio, Tiago Henrique, and Hanna Vitória, our team had the opportunity to interact with specialists from various fields, including seed analysis, packaging technologies, genetic improvement, and food classification.
This visit was a valuable opportunity for OpenScience, as getting to know and understand other sectors is essential for broadening our vision of agriculture in Brazil.
